Historic Second Avenue Rebuild
Second Avenue was devastated by a bomb on Christmas Day, 2020. The Christmas Day Blast resulted in no civilian casualties thanks to the heroic work of Metro Nashville Police Department. While many buildings originating from the 1800's were damaged, the incident provided an opportunity to rebuild and make the neighborhood even better than before.
Redevelopment of Historic Second Avenue is now under the management of the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA).
