The Best Downtown Rooftops

July 19, 2017  /  Downtown Nashville Blog

Warm weather is here and downtown Nashville has never been more beautiful … why not consider outside dining with a view? We’ve compiled a list of all of downtown Nashville’s fantastic rooftop patios for you to enjoy this spring and summer. For drinks, dining or other delights, here are our favorites in alpha order:

ACME Feed & Seed

Located right on the Cumberland River, ACME’s rooftop patio is prime real estate for a gorgeous view. You might even catch a glimpse of Nashville’s famous General Jackson Showboat while sipping on one of their delicious cocktails one afternoon. If you’re looking for creative cuisine or somewhere to host your special event, ACME is definitely a hot spot.

AJ's Good Time Bar

It's time for a "good time" at AJ's Good Time Bar. Head up to the 4th floor and have your favorite beverage on country music superstar Alan Jackson's rooftop. Aptly named AJ's Star Bar, this rooftop is one of the highest spots in town to enjoy cool cocktails and a stunning view of Historic Lower Broadway and the downtown Nashville skyline.

Crazy Town

If you’re looking for the best view of the Batman building, look no further than the 3rd floor rooftop patio at Crazy Town. This spot has quickly become a popular nighttime haunt for many locals, but the daytime views are just as great. So, go ahead! Grab your BNA hat and get on down to Crazy Town for great drinks and some classic American eats this summer.

Denim at The Joseph

Denim is the 21st-floor rooftop’s all-day, indoor-outdoor rooftop lounge — centered around a gorgeous, socially distanced outdoor pool and deck. The casual menu features fresh salads, wood-fired pizzas, and finely roasted meats, served with sweeping skyline and the Cumberland River views.

George Jones Museum

Not ragged but totally right, the George Jones Museum’s rooftop bar offers a pristine view of the Cumberland River and Nashville’s very ownNissan Stadium. It’s the perfect place to grab a drink and appetizer while enjoyinglive music. Be sure to check out the museum for all things George Jones on your way up … it’s a Music City favorite for sure!

Hard Rock Café

For more than 20 years, Music City’s world famous Hard Rock Café has been a Broadway favorite. Located right on the Cumberland River, and with live outdoor music to boot, this internationally known brand’s rooftop patio is always a good decision on a pretty summer day. Don’t delay, enjoy a hard rockin’ summer at the Hard Rock Café.

L.A. Jackson at Thompson Nashville

L.A. Jackson, the rooftop restaurant and bar at the Thompson Nashville, is the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. With a gorgeous view of downtown from The Gulch, and even tastier bar fare, you’ll want to celebrate your next special occasion with one of the best views in town.

lou/na at The Grand Hyatt Nashville

Inspired by legendary Louisville & Nashville rail lines that passed directly through the site of the Grand Hyatt for over a century, lou/na’s spelling and pronunciation also evoke the Latin word for “moon”.  And you will feel like the moon is within reach from this stunning rooftop venue that features indoor and outdoor seating, entertainment and breathtaking views of Nashville and beyond.  Serving the finest in both beverage and culinary creations, lou/na is the place to be seen in Music City and the crown jewel of both the Grand Hyatt and gathering spots in Nashville.

L27 at The Westin Nashville

The only thing better than a rooftop bar is a rooftop bar with a pool… and The Westin Nashville hasit made. Kick back, splash and enjoy your summer days at this luxurious spot. Though, don’t forget, make sure you wait 30 minutes after you eat to get in the pool!

Nudie's Honky Tonk

The world famous Nudie’s Honky Tonk on Broadway resides in a 100 year old historic three story building housing millions of dollars of rare country music memorabilia, stage costumes, multiple bars, three stages and a stunning rooftop deck featuring the best live music in Nashville.

Rock Bottom Brewery

One of Nashville’s original downtown rooftop patios, Rock Bottom Brewery is hard to beat on a beautiful spring day. Boasting great views of Broadway and the Batman building, this is a great place to cozy up in a corner spot and make a night of it with friends! May we recommend the cheese plate?

The Stage

While The Stage is best known for its nightly live music performances, their rooftop patio offers some of the best views of vibrant Lower Broadway, and is a great place to grab some really terrific sun during the day while listening to live music on the upstairsstage. We recommend getting there before sunset and then watching all the nighttime fun unfold below. It’s a sight you won’t soon forget!

The World Famous Orchid Lounge has become one of downtown Nashville’s must-attend bars for locals and tourists alike, and its rooftop patio is definitely a highlight. With live music all day and night, their rooftop patio is definitely a great place to be to get a taste of what downtown Music City has to offer.

Upscale libations, an eclectic menu and a fantastic view of The Gulch and downtown Nashville are what you'll find at this lounge.A city chic spot you do not want to miss out on this summer.

The Valentine

One of Broadway’s newest bars, The Valentine is quickly making a name for itself … and we can see why. Their rooftop patio has an elegant finesse made better with recently added shaded areas for hotsummer days. Never swelter, just enjoy the view!

Let’s make this one into a math equation: what does fabulous sushi + a fabulous view = ? Why, it equals a perfect night out at downtown Nashville’s Virago! We suggest starting with their fantastic Happy Hour (half price sushi and 2-4-1 cocktails) and going from there. Situated cozily in The Gulch, this craft cocktail hotspot is the perfect place to grab a few sharable plates, and enjoy the view.
