Located in historic Printer's Alley the Countrypolitan is a place for locals and travelers alike to dine, listen and stay. The Countrypolitan is here for you to take it easy. Kick off your boots, lay your head, and make yourself at home. There’s a bit of magic in these walls that washes over you when you walk through the doors, and you won’t want to leave or stop singing along. You’re not just a guest, but part of the experience.

Countrypolitan has its roots and soul in the Nashville Country Music sound of the '50s and its yearnings in pop. The crossover in the direction of pop is credited to a gifted few, among them, Chet Atkins, head of RCA Records' country division. As the Nashville Sound evolved to interest a broader audience in the ‘60s, there was considerably less hillbilly and honky tonk instrumentation in the production, instead employed were layers of keyboards, guitars, strings, and vocals, and more of a smooth, commercial sound that leaned on the country song structures. Countrypolitan dominated the country charts in the '70s and stayed popular until the early '80s and is currently having a resurgence. Today, through Countrypolitan they want to remind of it and resurrect it.
