The March for Libraries is a non-partisan public demonstration celebrating and raising awareness of the vital role libraries play in our communities. Organized by the Library Freedom Project, this year's event will take place on Let Freedom Read Day during Banned Books Week 2026 and will bring together library supporters, community organizations, library workers, families, and advocates to celebrate the Right to Read and equitable access to information.
Through speakers, community activities, resource tables, and the March itself, the event will highlight the importance of intellectual freedom, access to information, inclusive library services, and strong community support for Tennessee libraries.
