Celebrate 60 years of the Metro Human Relations Commission and its work advocating for the unheard voices of Tennessee by joining NMAAM for the debut of MHRC’s documentary, Through Their Words: How Voices Became Policy and Policy Became Progress.

Following the documentary, MHRC executive director Davie Tucker, Jr., will moderate a panel discussion and Q&A with Dr. Sheila Peters, psychology professor at Fisk University, and Dr. Learotha Williams, Jr., African American and Public History professor at Tennessee State University.

This documentary premiere event is free to the public, but limited seats are available in the theater. Please RSVP for seats at https://events.humanitix.com/juneteenth.

NMAAM will offer free admission to the museum all day for its Juneteenth Community Day.
