TPAC’s Spotlight Awards program is dedicated to encouraging and supporting the talents, educational endeavors, and friendships of high school theatre students in Tennessee to build a strong and inclusive theatre community. The 2023 Spotlight Awards Ceremony acknowledges outstanding achievement, growth, and artistry in high school musical theatre and provides an opportunity for students to share their art with each other. During this red-carpet event, participating schools will be celebrated for their outstanding work in over 30 award categories, and contenders for Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Lead Performer will perform on TPAC’s Jackson Hall stage. TPAC’s Spotlight Program and Award Ceremony is a regional program of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, or Jimmy Awards®.
