Iranian multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer Reza Filsoofi and Western classical singer and multicultural dancer Sangeetha Ekambaram collaborate to present Imagining Shéhérazade in Exile at the Frist Art Museum. The performance takes the audience on a journey through a rich musical landscape from East and West, while crossing the boundary between tradition and innovation. The performance is presented in conjunction with Raqib Shaw: Ballads of East and West and mirrors the multicultural and fantastical qualities of Shaw’s works.
