Join the Frist Art Museum and the Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies (CLACX) at Vanderbilt University for a panel inspired by the exhibition On the Horizon: Contemporary Cuban Art from the Pérez Art Museum Miami. Moderated by Celso Castilho (director, CLACX) and featuring María Magdalena Campos-Pons (exhibiting artist and Cornelius Vanderbilt Endowed Chair of Fine Arts, Vanderbilt University), Luis Martínez (student, Vanderbilt University), and David Plazas (opinion and engagement director, USA Today/The Tennessean), this discussion will explore current events and contemporary social and political issues in Cuba.
