Details
Austin City Limits is the longest-running popular music series on American television, having premiered its pilot, starring Willie Nelson, in 1975. Since that auspicious debut, ACL has showcased the most illustrious talents in American roots music—from Merle Haggard and Lyle Lovett, to Loretta Lynn and Sheryl Crow, to Flaco Jimenez and Ray Charles, to Los Lobos and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Sharing inside stories and looking back on the program’s breakthrough moments will be longtime Austin City Limits executive producer Terry Lickona and frequent ACL guests Ray Benson, Ruthie Foster, Sarah Jarosz, and Robert Earl Keen. The Museum’s Paul Kingsbury will lead the discussion. Presented in partnership with the Americana Music Association.
Price: Program ticket required. Included with Museum admission.
