Join in during the Saturday, March 8 Art Crawl for the Opening Reception of Archive of Atmospheric Memory, a photographic exhibition curated by Caroline Allison and exploring photography as historical record in a world where AI-generated imagery challenges our ability to tell the difference. Ongoing through April 20 in Arcade Arts Gallery 56.
Notes by Curator: With the increasing skepticism toward the authenticity of today’s news images, the photographs included in Archive of Atmospheric Memory stand as artifacts of another era. Stamped, marked, captioned, and often physically manipulated, these press photos bear tangible traces of their circulation and remind us how photography has been both a record of history and a catalyst for action.
