Since beginning his career in the early 1980s, Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Lyle Lovett has released twelve studio albums—including his newest, 12th of June, released in May—and collaborated with Al Green, Nanci Griffith, and Randy Newman. His Top Twenty country singles include “Cowboy Man,” “Why I Don’t Know,” and “She’s No Lady.” As an actor, Lovett has appeared in the movie Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story and the television shows Mad About You and Castle, among other productions. He is a member of both the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame and the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame. In this program, Lovett performs and discusses his latest album, creative process, and career with SiriusXM Outlaw Country host Elizabeth Cook. Presented in partnership with the Americana Music Association and SiriusXM Outlaw Country.
