After 10 years in NYC and 15 in Los Angeles, vibraphonist and composer Nick Mancini performs his third show in Nashville, bringing a vibrant and cutting-edge quartet to Rudy’s Jazz Room. The group is comprised of Nick Mancini on vibes, Mitch Bell on guitar, Edwin Canito Garcia on bass and Dave Bowen on drums. Mancini’s originals, along with a handful of choice jazz standards, create the fertile soil from which spontaneous and incisive arrangements continually spring forth.
Mancini has performed and recorded with stalwart artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Poncho Sanchez, New York Voices, and Peter Erskine, as well as rising stars the likes of Kamasi Washington, Ben Wendel, and John Carroll Kirby. In addition, his diverse artistry has found him as a guest artist with Postmodern Jukebox, Half-Alive, Tiger Army, Santigold, Solange, and Dr. Dre; to name a few. As a bandleader he's released numerous recordings and played in top venues in NY, LA, and around the world.
