NASHVILLE — The Nashville Water Taxi is launching its Nashville River Cruise, offering locals and visitors an engaging and family-friendly way to explore Music City's heritage while boating along the Cumberland River.
Operating Thursday through Monday, these two-hour narrated cruises depart from Downtown Nashville near Nissan Stadium, about a 10-15 minute walk from the Broadway side of the river. Cruises will offer guests panoramic views of Nashville's skyline, historic bridges, and significant landmarks. Passengers will journey through time, learning about the city's early settlements, the role of commercial barges in its development, tales of the famed Demonbreun Cave, the history of the Grand Ole Opry House and much more. Guests can choose between two cruise options: the Nashville History Cruise runs in the mornings and early afternoons with full narration, while the Nashville Sunset Cruise offers light narration and a laid-back evening ride to unwind on the water.
The cruises are accessible for all ages. There is a restroom and a cash-free bar on board, offering a selection of beverages and snacks.
