Details
City Winery will host the award -winning Nashville Jazz Orchestra in it’s annual Boxing Day Concert on Monday, December 27. Boxing Day is a tradition, borrowed from Britain, heralding the end of the Christmas season by the “boxing” of gifts and decorations. Musically, a little Christmas, and a lot of what the Nashville Jazz Orchestra is known for: rousing Big Band Jazz. After a year of severely curtailed music presentations in all Nashville due to the widespread virus, the orchestra will emerge strongly from hiatus.
Our Special Guest Vocalist will be the talented big band veteran and educator, Sandra Dudley.
Sandra earned her big band “creds’ with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Tennessee Jazz Orchestra and as featured soloist with both Nashville and Memphis Symphony Orchestras.
