The museum’s in-depth interview series, Nashville Cats, is spotlighting Wendy Moten, one of three 2026 honorees. Moten’s voice has been both a steady support and the star of the show at different points in her career. A professional singer by 16, she released her self-titled debut album in 1992. Moten has had two singles chart in the U.S. and U.K. Moten has worked as a backup singer in the studio and on tour for Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood , Country Music Hall of Fame member-elect Tim McGraw and Country Music Hall of Fame member Garth Brooks. She was runner-up on “The Voice” in 2021.
