Derek Wells is multi-instrumentalist, music publisher, and producer. As a musician, he has contributed to more than one hundred #1 singles for artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney, Lady A, Maren Morris, and Carrie Underwood, and as a producer, he has produced projects for Hardy, Scotty McCreery, Maddie & Tae, and Lainey Wilson. Wells has been named the Academy of Country Music’s Guitar Player of the Year twice, was named MusicRow Guitarist of the Year in 2022, and has received multiple nominations for the Country Music Association’s Musician of the Year award.
