Details
The Treaty of Sycamore Shoals occupies a prominent place in Tennessee history, but continues to be widely misunderstood. Although the treaty was ultimately set aside, it played a key role in the settlement of what would become Middle Tennessee. The ownership of every locale in this region can be traced back to individual land grants, and each land grant had a connection to the event that took place at Sycamore Shoals 250 years ago. Presenter Paul Clements was born and raised in Nashville, and attended Woodmont School, Battle Ground Academy, Vanderbilt, and Peabody College. Paul has been involved in researching local history for 50 years.
