Join in for Jazz on the Move on Sunday, March 30, for a spectacular presentation by vocalist Dara Tucker exploring the life and music of Dinah Washington.

In this installment the Frist celebrates the life and music of The Queen of the Blues, Dinah Washington. This iconic jazz and blues singer influencer generations of singers across genres, including rock and roll. She was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

Now in its 19th year, Jazz on the Move is a long-running collaboration between the Nashville Jazz Workshop and the Frist Art Museum, featuring some of Nashville’s top jazz musicians and educators. Each program highlights a major figure or period in jazz history, combining world-class music with an opportunity to learn more about this great American art form.
