About Sarah Vaughan

In a career spanning almost 50 years, Sarah Vaughan left an indelible mark on the jazz
and popular music world. She was referred to as “The Divine One” with good reason.
The combination of her distinctive vocal style and her musical mastery—she was a
gifted pianist as well as a vocalist—produced a rich body of work that has not been
equaled. This special presentation will feature master vocalist Sandra Dudley
discussing Sarah “Sassy” Vaughan’s life and career and performing some of her most
famous songs. Sandra will be joined by pianist Lori Mechembassist Roger Spencer,
and drummer Larry Abermen.
