The Jack Silverman Quartet weaves elements of psychedelic music, jazz noir and improvisation, while exploring the contrast between melody and dissonance, to create what might best be described as a film soundtrack collaboration between Pink Floyd and Angelo Badalamenti. The band features Silverman on guitar, Rob Crawford on drums, Brook Sutton on bass, and Matt Glassmeyer on Wurlitzer, horns, percussion and whatever isn’t nailed down. Their debut studio LP Prince of Shadows — produced by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Sleater-Kinney, Paula Cole, Lambchop) — comes out March 1, 2024, on Centripetal Force Records. Silverman is also a member of The Nashville Ambient Ensemble, who have released two albums on Centripetal Force.
