Chris Hillman and Dwight Yoakam, two of the most significant figures in country rock, will make a rare appearance together to discuss their storied careers, musical influences and the ongoing impact of the country-rock movement. Hillman is a pioneer of the genre, with founding roles in the Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas, the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band and the Desert Rose Band. Yoakam helped usher in a return to the gritty, twangy sounds of traditional country in the 1980s and has continued to blend vintage and contemporary styles.
