Join local amateur astronomer and photography enthusiast Theo Wellington to learn how nighttime artificial light from human activities impacts both humans and wildlife. Discover the type and scope of light pollution in Tennessee and its effects on the night environment and specific species. We'll explore ways that all of us can help limit the unnecessary spread of excessive light at night.
Wellington is a board member of the local Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society, and an advocate for the International Dark Sky Association.
Event held in 3rd floor Commons.
