Let your creativity loose in this hands-on experience, open to those 13 years and older accompanied by an adult. Hand–ink and print on paper and fabric using some of Nashville’s most recognizable imagery, cut into printing blocks by the designers at Hatch Show Print. As one of the oldest poster and design shops in America, they're still printing show posters for your favorite musicians, bands, and performers, one at a time, via letterpress printing. At the Block Party, everyone 13 years and older will have the opportunity to work with a selection of hand-carved printing blocks and learn about the relief-printing process. Instructors will guide you through the basics of composing an image, emphasizing layering and color usage.
