Details
In this fun, hands-on workshop, participants will learn and practice a few ukulele basics, then accompany special guest harmonica player Carlos DeFord Bailey, a musician who performs in the tradition of his grandfather, Country Music Hall of Fame member DeFord Bailey. Known as the "Harmonica Wizard," the elder Bailey was an influential harmonica player in both country music and blues, one of the Grand Ole Opry’s most popular early performers and country music’s first Black star. Ukuleles provided, or you may bring your own. (Recommended for ages 7 and up. All are welcome.)
Presented in support of Ford Community Day.
