Join a museum educator to write a song as a group in this introductory workshop. Music professional Adam Ollendorff will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, theme, and rhyme scheme. Participants will share ideas and write an original song. Ollendorff played steel guitar as a member of Kacey Musgraves’s band, and his songs have been recorded by Will Hoge and Keb’ Mo’. Recommended for ages 7 and up, but all are welcome. Taylor Swift Education Center. Limited seating. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members.
Youth from Davidson County and counties that surround Davidson may enter the museum free as part of the Museum’s Community Counts initiative.
