Open to all educators: This workshop is particularly well suited for PreK-8th grade teachers, but participants from all grades and subject areas are welcomed.
During this workshop, educators will
- Engage in a guided tour of Journey through Japan: Myths to Manga.
- Learn about how popular stories have shaped Japanese art, design, and technology across the centuries.
- Participate in conversations and cross-curricular dialogue.
- Review teacher resources created for the exhibition.
- Take part in a lesson on Japanese storytelling and creative writing led by Yurina Yoshikawa, writer and Director of Education at The Porch.
- Participate in an art-making activity inspired by the exhibition.
