To close the Avenues to a Great City exhibition at the Frist Art Museum—celebrating the twentieth anniversary of The Plan of Nashville—the event looks toward the future. On a Saturday morning, attendees of all ages and design backgrounds will gather to consider what comes next in fulfilling the fifty-year vision.

Guests will receive a first look at a new mini-documentary about The Plan and hear remarks from city stakeholders. They will then sit around tables with maps and trace paper to contribute their own ideas. Focus themes, inspired by the ten principles of The Plan of Nashville, include mapping citywide greenway connections, restoring the prominence of the Cumberland River, revisiting downtown as a neighborhood for Nashvillians, and more.
