Every month a group of readers gather on the patio of The Blue Room to make sure challenged or banned get read and discussed, co-hosted by music artist Aria Cavaliere & poet Ciona Rouse.
This month, The Blue Room is taking the party inside, pre-gaming for Banned Book Week (Sept. 22-28) with a kickoff celebration. The evening includes unplugged performances by The Shindellas, Riley Parker, & the happy hour’s very own Cavaliere. Additionally, special guest readers will share passages from several banned or recently challenged books. You’ll also be able to purchase books from Rouse’s new popup venture Bard’s Towne.
